Mince ginger and garlic. Chop onion finely and set aside.
In a small bowl, mix sugar, sake, soy sauce, miso paste, and gochujang, and set aside.
In a frying pan, heat oil at medium heat with ginger and garlic. When the oil starts to be aromatic, add ground beef and cook until the color changes. Then add chopped onion, and cook until soft. Add 2 and cook for 5 minutes.

Serve Nikkumiso over rice or noodle with chopped green onion and sesame seeds if you like. Or wrap with lettuce for a tasty lettuce wrap.
