Japanese Garlic Rice
Japanese style garlic fried rice often served at Teppanyaki restaurants.

- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 green onions
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 cups steamed rice
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Mince garlic. Cut green onions thinly.
In a frying pan, put olive oil and garlic when the pan is still cold and turn on the heat. Cook the garlic at medium heat until slightly browned, and add the butter. When the butter is melted, add the steamed rice. Stir to coat the oil to the rice at medium heat for 5 minutes.
Season with the soy sauce and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add the chopped green onions and cook for 2 more minutes.
